Cal Worthington to Host Annual Event for Glenn County Hospital at Orland Ranch

Willows, CA… The ninth (9th) annual Splendor in the Valley fundraiser presented by the Glenn Medical Foundation will take place on Saturday September 8th starting at 5:30 PM. At this time,we are working with the hospital administration to determine its most pressing need for 2012 funding efforts.We are also assisting with the planning of our new hospital.

Our gracious host and successful automobile retailer will greet his guests in his stunning and vast ranch abode. "Cal has proven time and again to be a very generous and welcoming host,” noted Vee Weathers, Secretary of the Glenn Medical Foundation. "He never hesitates to give what he can back to the community, specifically, to the Glenn Medical Center via the Glenn Medical Foundation.”

A pre-dinner wine and cheese social hour will be followed by a marvelous dinner and dessert provided by Country Gal Catering. Fund raising activities will include a live dessert auction after dinner and a silent auction throughout the evening.

We are ecstatic to have our local favorites, "Cottonwood,” provide musical entertainment for the third year in a row. Between musical interludes, there will be plenty of social interaction, silent auction bidding, and a chance to sit back and take in the beauty of Glenn County.

The eight previous Splendor events raised enough money to add a long list of much needed medical equipment and services for the Glenn Medical Center. Most recently, the Foundation helped fund a cutting edge "Sleep Study” program. The study monitored the sleeping habits and patterns of patients with various health concerns. The study proved to be extremely popular and helpful to local as well as neighboring communities.

The Big W Ranch is located just west of Willows in Artois. Access is restricted to guests only.
